With hard and grey sands, it has calm waters ideal for children or for those who don't like thundering surf. It holds hotels,lodges, bars, small restaurants that serve homely dishes and a bakery.

 On the beach there also are small huts serving seafood appetizers and drinks.
During carnival it holds the "Summer Games" a traditional event officialy included into the munucipality's calendar.

Near the highway are located the houses of local artisans and a small farm selling fresh dairy products.
